Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

Members of our Student Leadership Team, accompanied by Mr Juppin, proudly represented Gordon West Public School at the National Sorry Day community event hosted by Ku-ring-gai Council. Students participated in the special presentation “Have a Yarn with Uncle Brendan”.

Uncle Brendan shared Dreamtime stories, cultural knowledge and personal experiences through engaging performances and interactive discussions. The event provided our student leaders with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal culture, reconciliation and the importance of acknowledging our shared histories.

Our students represented GWPS with maturity, respect and curiosity throughout the event and we are incredibly proud of the thoughtful way they engaged with this important occasion.
